RadiaDroid has a threefold purpose; to train *the handling of Intensimeter 28 civ, AN/UDR-13 and SRV2000*establish perimeters around found sources (point or field) and*the basic principles in radiation physics and protectionA set of tutorials guide the trainee through the instrument and given examples.Radiation is simulated with virtual placed sources indicated with its GPS coordinates, (radius), radionuclide and activity. RadiaDroid calculates the dose rate from chosen radionuclide and the distance. After loading a scenario, the trainee reports the locations of found sources and their safety perimeters.Swedish Radiation Safety Authority is supporting this project.
